I started building rustic furnishings after a seeing a Juniper lamp in a cabin which I was doing some finish work at. Went out the next weekend and picked a few select pieces of juniper and started stripping bark then a weeks worth of sanding and then some more sanding . Finally got a lamp finished and sold to a fellow in Wyoming so now in my not so spare time I`ll work on pieces to add to my pages and build a custom piece from time to time. The twisted juniper always amazes me that there could be so much   beauty  in a piece of wood that doesn`t look like much when you start. The uniqueness along with the  variety of colors and natural forms that are found once the wood is exposed makes up for the time you spend on them.
